Meet Autograph
Autograph is a signature fieldtype for ExpressionEngine. Add an Autograph field to a channel and it becomes a signing pad: visitors draw their signature with a mouse, a finger or a stylus, and the signature is saved with the entry as an image.
It's made for Channel Forms. A Channel Form that includes an Autograph field shows the pad with no extra template work, and the signature is saved with the rest of the entry.
Autograph 2 is out, with signatures as files, a responsive pad, Grid and Fluid. Its upgrade guide explains how a 1.x site moves across without changing its templates.
What's in the box
The field draws its own canvas, Undo and Clear buttons. No JavaScript to write.
Sized and coloured per fieldSet the canvas width, height and pen colour for each field.
Sign in the control panel, or don'tLet editors sign on the publish form, or show the signature read-only so only visitors can provide it.
Template tagsOutput the signature as an image, or take its data URL and dimensions for your own markup.
